Virginia College Pathways Program

We’ve partnered with Penn Foster High School to create the Pathways Program. In as little as 12 weeks, you can earn an accredited high school diploma at our campus, at your own pace and at no cost to you. The sooner you get started, the sooner you can enroll in Virginia College and face a bright new future.

The Pathways Program is Designed for People Who

  • Do not have a high school diploma or GED
  • Have had challenges completing the GED
  • Can dedicate a minimum of 12 hours a week to on-campus classwork
  • Are interested in training for a new career at Virginia College

  • We’ll transfer in the credits you’ve already earned from either high school or GED work, so you only take the credits you need to earn your diploma.
  • You only need to spend two or three days a week doing classwork. Class times are 10am-1pm, Monday-Thursday on the Virginia College campus. You choose the days that work best for you.
  • Perform the tasks outlined in the accredited Penn Foster High School program. It’s made up of short, easy-to-understand lessons with online testing you can complete at your own pace.
  • You will have a dedicated classroom facilitator to help you through the program.
  • You can complete the Pathways Program in as little as 12 weeks.
  • We offer the Pathways High School Diploma Program at no cost to you.
  • While completing the Pathways Program, you can choose to take Virginia College courses as electives.
  • The Pathways Program high school courses can help prepare you to be successful in college and in life.
  • People with a high school diploma earn an average of $1,600 more a month than those with a GED.*
  • People who have attended college earn an average of more than $37,500.**
